5 Star Instructinal Design Rating
Five Star Instructional Design Rating by M. Davis Merrill was difficult for me to understand the first two pages. I hoped that I would learn more in the second part of the article. I did learn more there. The problem is that I don't remember what I read and so now I have to read it again. Hopefully, I will remember it the second time. I did want to quote a two things that I underlined. " The rating system consists of five stars, one each for Problem, Activation, Demonstration, Application, and Integration. Each star has three levels bronze, silver, or gold depending on whether detailed criteria are met for each category." This rating system is not for reference material, isolated facts, or psychomotor skills. It is for tutorial or experiential (simulation) courseware. I will finish this after I re-read this so I can remember.
